In addition to unveiling several new food options fans will be able to enjoy at Dodger Stadium throughout the season, the Los Angeles Dodgers also provided a first look at a handful of items that are on their 2018 promotional and giveaway calendar.
Much like years prior, it features an assortment of bobbleheads, products to further entice fans to attend games on Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Fourth of July, as well as a commemorative Jackie Robinson replica jersey.
“One thing that the Dodgers really try to drive home is value,” said vice president of ticket sales David Siegel. “I’m really proud to say this year, as we have for the past decade or so, we’ve got such a robust promotional schedule.
“We’ve got so much to look forward to. We really tried to build all of our ticketing plans around that. Again, just more added value.”
Siegel estimated 60 of 81 games at Dodger Stadium this season are accompanied by a giveaway or promotion. Included in that are the return of fan favorites Friday Night Fireworks and Viva Los Dodgers dates.
Below are details and photographs of some of the promotional items that were on display during the team’s annual first look event.
Friday, March 30: Kirk Gibson bobbleehad (Dodgers vs. Giants)
Wednesday, April 11: Hooded sweatshirt (Dodgers vs. Athletics)
Sunday, April 15: Jackie Robinson replica jersey (Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks)
Saturday, April 21: Cody Bellinger Rookie of the Year bobblehead (Dodgers vs. Nationals)
Sunday, April 22: Jr. Dodgers bat bag (Dodgers vs. Nationals)
Tuesday, April 24: ITFDB Alarm Clark (Dodgers vs. Marlins)
Saturday, May 12: 60th anniversary cap (Dodgers vs. Reds)
Monday, May 28: Memorial Day apron (Dodgers vs. Phillies)
Giveaways are limited to 40,000 items (12,000 items for kids giveaways), unless otherwise noted and while supplies last. Only one giveaway item per person will be given to the bearer of the ticket upon entering Dodger stadium. Schedule is subject to change without notice.
Not yet unveiled were any of the six collector’s item giveaways that will be offered to fans throughout the season. The complete 2018 promotional and giveaway schedule can be viewed here.
Various season-ticket packages remain available for purchase. One of which is the collector’s mini-plan, a 21-game plan that includes 10 bobblehead dates and Opening Day. The season opener, March 29 against the San Francisco Giants, is otherwise sold out.
Also available for the time being is the Kirk Gibson ticket package, which is two seats in the right field pavilion to commemorate where his 1988 World Series home run ball landed. The seats remain part of the all-you-can eat program the team offers.
A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to Gibson’s foundation for Parkinson’s disease research, plus the package will include a specially-designed t-shirt. “What I think is extra special about that is the fact that there’s only 81 opportunities to actually sit there,” Siegel said.
