The Los Angeles Dodgers didn’t score Tuesday night until the fourth inning but once they did, it signaled the start of what much of the 2017 season has held — an onslaught.

Joc Pederson made a diving catch in the right-center field gap to possibly prevent a run from scoring and end the top of the fourth. Then with one out and a runner on second base, Pederson drove a line-drive double off the wall in center field to tie the game.

Following a Chase Utley base hit that put runners at the corners, Yasiel Puig flared an RBI single into right field. The hit was one of three for Puig on the night.

It was a second consecutive multi-hit game for Puig, his third three-hit effort this season, and first since May 2.

Chris Taylor added to Jose Berrios’ troubles by pulling a two-run double down the left-field line. The Dodgers were out to a 4-1 lead before Berrios could get out of the fourth inning.

The Twins capitalized on a Corey Seager throwing error to score a run in the fifth. It cut the Dodgers’ lead in half but was as close as the Twins would get. Following a long delay in the bottom of the sixth due to confusion over a double switch, the Dodgers scored two runs.

Logan Forsythe hit an RBI single and Taylor connected for an run-scoring double to put the finishing touches on a 6-2 victory. The Dodgers became the first team in the Majors to 70 wins this season, and extended their lead in the National League West standings to 12.5 games.
