Justin Turner and his wife Kourtney are set to host the fourth annual Justin Turner Golf Classic at the prestigious Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif., on Monday.
The charity event is sold out but limited tickets remain available to a private dinner held the night prior, and a raffle for the Aston Martin shootout. Selected participants will have
have the opportunity win a DB11 by making a Hole In One during the Shootout.
Proceeds will support the Justin Turner Foundation and their continued work with the Dream Center and its Veterans Program, as well as provide for children battling illnesses and diseases. The Foundation and Dream Center opened a female veterans home last May, believed to be the first of its kind in the greater Los Angeles area.
Like in years past, former Los Angeles Dodgers Orel Hershiser, Nomar Garciappara and Chase Utley are expected to attend the Golf Classic. So too is Wayne Gretzky and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim first baseman Albert Pujols.
Turner attended a Pujols Family Foundation fundraising event last spring, and is expected to do so again this year.
Following the tournament, AM 570 L.A. Sports Radio host Matt “Money” Smith will host a dinner that includes a silent auction. Turner and Kourtney will also use that time to discuss what lies ahead for the Justin Turner Foundation in 2019.
The event caps off what’s been an eventful week for the Turners. The Los Angeles City Council proclaimed Tuesday, Jan. 22, as Justin Turner Day. He went from City Hall to Dodger Stadium, where Turner helped the Dodgers host a special military enlistment ceremony.
