All-Star Week Los Angeles officially began Friday with fans able to attend All-Star Oceanfront at Santa Monica Pier and Beach. Saturday morning marks the start of Play Ball Park at the Los Angeles Convention Center, which is accompanied by MLB Live on the L.A. Live complex.
Los Angeles Dodgers president and CEO Stan Kasten, Justin Turner, Andre Ethier and Steve Garvey are among those who will be on hand for the Opening Ceremony at Play Ball Park. Ron Cey, Shawn Green, Steve Garvey, Fernando Valenzuela and Reggie Smith are also among those scheduled to appear during the four-day festival.
Play Ball Park will additionally feature appearances by Andre Dawson, Rollie Fingers, Vladimir Guerrero Sr., Fergie Jenkins, Juan Marichal, Tim Raines, Dave Winfield, and Olympic Gold medalists Lisa Fernandez, Jennie Finch and Natasha Watley.
Fans will have the opportunity to receive free autographs and participate in question-and-answer sessions and clinics led by the former players inside the convention center, all of which is included with the price of admission.
Among the more than 50 games and attractions include batting cages, pitching tunnels, home run derby VR and MLB The Show 22 gaming stations.
Each day at Play Ball Park will have a different theme and free giveaway for young fans with the price of admission to the indoor section.
Purchase of a ticket is required for fans ages 2 and older in order to enter Play Ball Park inside the convention center. Admission is free for the MLB All-Star Block Party set up on the Gilbert Lindsay Plaza on the doorstep of the convention center.
That area houses more interactive games, free giveaways, music and a beer garden, among other experiences.

Play Ball Park is open Saturday, July 16-Tuesday, July 19. Hours are 10 a.m. PT to 8 p.m. PT on Saturday and Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
Attractions include an All-Star clubhouse that gives fans an inside glimpse of player lockers, FieldHouse on the event deck at L.A. Live, kids areas, autograph stages and more.
