The Los Angeles Dodgers postseason roster for their National League Championship Series matchup with the Atlanta Braves includes 13 position players and 13 pitchers, just as manager Dave Roberts suggested was a “viable possibility.”

The changes from the NL Division Series saw David Price and Billy McKinney replaced by Justin Bruihl and Evan Phillips to give the Dodgers extra pitching. That became somewhat of a necessity with the NLCS being a best-of-seven and featuring the potential for three games in a row without an off day.

McKinney was active for the Wild Card Game and NLDS, while Price was only on the roster for the matchup with the San Francisco Giants. However, the left-hander did not appear in a game.

The Dodgers were holding out some hope with Max Muncy but he was not added to the NLCS roster. “I think Andrew said it best, he’s moving around but it’s going to be our last-minute bullet,” Roberts said Friday.

“If he feels he can do something at any point in the series, then it’s certainly something we need to consider. Still unlikely, but we’re holding out hope as much as we can.”

Muncy can only be added to the postseason roster during the NLCS if he replaces an injured position player.
